Internet Casino Sucker Wagers — Part 2

[ English ]
  • Progressive side wagers: Games like Caribbean Stud Poker regularly have one of these. You generally put a wager (a dollar is the usual amt.) to try to win a bonus jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Though big jackpots like these are extremely alluring, they’re also very hard to succeed. You would need to get a Royal Flush in order to hit this wager. Also, picture this- you wager twenty hands and lay the side bet every time. That is 20 dollars you should have used towards the real game bet in place of a sucker bet. Imagine what you might have been able to win at a wager with better odds using that $20.
  • Individual number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just one. This shifts the complete casino edge from 2% with a single zero wheel to a huge five% in American. The individual number bet has just a one in 38 chance of succeeding, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much lower house advantage.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you gamble on it, the casino edge can be a whopping 25%. No, that is not a typo. Due to the large set of numbers you must choose, it’s not advisable to play Keno very much. A couple of times for fun, maybe. But do not spend all your money on it or you’ll immediately find yourself beaten.
